Oh, the power of a comma

From my Advanced Writing for Science Majors class today:

Consider the following sentence giving careful thought to proper punctuation.

Woman without her man is nothing.

Woman, without her man, is nothing.

 ***

Woman, without her, man is nothing.

Making some changes

I’m still kicking.

As it is won’t, life is changing all around me.  I’m trying to make the best of it.
