It’s not feeling like coincidence any more

by Janie Jones

Every time, and I do very literally mean ever time, Leif and I have had to go into The Big City this year there has been foul weather.  For the last 6 months it’s primarily been a huge monster of a snow storm.  We even had to cancel our trip the last time (in April) on account of getting like, 2 feet of snow in 3 days.  So today at least, being in the middle of May, we figured we’d not have to worry about getting caught in a snow storm.

Well, we were right on the snow storm part, however, here’s the forecast for today’s weather in The Big City:

A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 49 (9 C). Northeast wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30  mph.  Wind chill:  42 (6 C).

Cold, wet and windy.  Nice.  Fun, fun, fun for every one.  Only, not so much.  Now, I could deal with cold and sunny.  Or even cold and a light snow flurry.  But I really hate cold and rainy.  There is a reason why I feel like the Pacific Northwest would be a nice place to visit but would never want to live there.  Plus, poor Rupert will be panicking all day.

This is becoming too much of a pattern for a coincidence.  So, what weather deity did we piss off?
