Tuesday Titters: Week 15, don’t think too hard on it, or a neuron might short circuit…

by Janie Jones

I once had a friend who’d spout gems like these.  I don’t know what got him thinking, or whether he stole them from elsewhere, but they always would crack me up.  From time to time they shake loose in my brain and I just can’t seem to get rid of them.  Not unlike how that one measure of some idiotic commercial jingle will get stuck in your head…”Calgon, take me away….”

You can tune a piano, but you can’t tune a fish.

Why do we drive in a parkway and park in a drive way?

You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you can’t pick your friend’s nose.

Why do we have a pair of pants but just one bra?

If olive oil is made from olives, and fish oil is made from fish, is baby oil made from babies?

Is there really to much sax and violins on TV?

Three wrongs don’t make a right, but three lefts do.

And, of course:  A man walked into a bar.  You’d think he would have ducked.
