The thousand dollar Tinker Toy experiment

by Janie Jones

I spend $11,000 on my education this semester and in chem lab I have to play with broken lame Tinker Toys.

I am supposed to be modeling atomic structures, or something, but none of the kits have all the parts, they aren’t labeled and even when you find all the pieces you need, I swear they still look like, well a bunch of Tinker Toys. I don’t see how this is supposed to make the 3 dimensional properties of molecules clear.

Well, maybe clear as mud.

  1. You should build a Killer Robot with them instead. Or a bridge.
